Transitioning

We moved in July; and I feel like I missed Summer this year.
Though looking forward to the views of Autumn from our new home, could these transitional temperatures last just a bit longer?

Lindsay, an Equestrian Bride

It was a cool, rainy, early Autumn day. But when we arrived at our destination, the rain stopped; a horse-drawn cart greeted us; we were escorted to the ceremony site; and we forgot all about the dampness. The grounds of the Equicenter, in Honeoye Falls, NY (where the bride works as well as boards and trains her horse) provided a lush, green backdrop that was stunning. The wedding party was in black; and the accent colors of shades of rich purple contrasted beautifully.

"Do you, Kyle, understand that there will always be horses in your life?"
The Equicenter provides therapeutic riding and horsemanship services.

May

May is right around the corner.
Plenty of time though to plan surprise gifts for unsuspecting friends and family or as random acts of kindness. Tradition says to leave a basket of flowers or treats at someone's door, ring the bell, and run!

I have different sized cones in my shop -- fun and fancy for pretty bouquets.
I like to cover them with fabric but can be made without as shown here.
Also perfect for weddings.

Romantic Rustic

Soft neutral tones paired with my latest custom cone.
Wonder what it will actually marry with.I know that wedding planning, and of course the wedding day, is a whirlwind of excitement.
It's also exciting for us handmade wedding designers to contribute to such a special day.
Brides, if you can remember to email a photo or two of your lovingly
crafted accents to their creators, it would so be appreciated!

Backyard Bride

I view many photos of lovely weddings of all styles, but there is something
about a homespun celebration that I find to be the most romantic.

Here, the couple's antiques set the mood; and this very talented,
bohemian bride did all of the styling (and more) for their special day.
Simply Charming!

I believe the photos are from family and/or friends.

Vintage Marries Mod...hot pink & lime green

I so loved being the Mother of the Bride. I enjoyed spending lots of time with my daughter,
planning, designing and creating the diy details for her special day.

Sarah wanted simple, pretty & fun. I couldn't resist marrying in some vintage accents.

It was a fabulous day.
Sarah & Steve had the time of their lives!

And so did I.

"Grace"

Paper, print & weddings...can't get enough!

Just saw this lovely addition to the collection of invitations from Ruby & Willow and had to share. Their designs include vintage graphics styled with pattern and color that brings them very up-to-date. A diverse range of styles to choose from (and more are on the way), yet each one displays a flair for the romantic.
They will also completely customize something especially for you!

Twenty Pages

I'm a magazine fanatic, so was over at Weddings Unveiled Magazine, and spotted the ultimate invitation idea:

Janet and Vincent Merlin got married in 2010 and created a magazine for their guests as a fun way to share a little bit about their story, and of course, the logistics of their big day. Along the way, they discovered that others loved the idea and wanted one for their wedding. Luckily, Vincent’s sister, Elodie, is a graphic designer and Twenty Pages was born.

Each couple's magazine is created uniquely for them and it's a fantastic way to connect with your friends and family, whether you're having a destination wedding, backyard nuptials or a black tie affair. The magazines work great as guest favors, but they can be used in so many different ways. You can use them as wedding programs, they can be sent along with your invitations or save the dates, you can include them in welcome or gift bags and so much more! For more information and pricing, visit the
Twenty Pages website or send an email to hello@twentypages.com.
