Gathered with some family for a trial Pinterest Party this weekend.
This can be run with variations, but we each brought a snack and supplies for a craft — both of which we found on Pinterest and wanted to try.
Our party seemed to have running themes: three out of four snacks involved bread and tomato. We’re Italian, what can I say? (Mine was a flop though.) Two projects involved yarn wrapping and three required fabric flowers. I was going to experiment with fabric flowers but I only got one made, and it was perfect for Cara’s jewelry holder!
We did have lots of fun, and learned some tips for next time:
- Coordinate snacks from different categories.
- Hold the party at a household with lots of craft supplies — there’s always something that is forgotten or that was not anticipated.
- Have lots of room to spread out.
- Print instructions or have your phones, IPads etc. to refer back to. We did surf for variation instructions.

Hot Caprese Dip: Let me just say this, fresh mozzarella, tomatoes and basil
are best enjoyed that way — fresh!
